SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS FOR WASHING MACHINES WITH HYBRID TIMER
AKO (PS 145/…, PS 146/… (1200 – 1500 rpm in spin))
Washing machines with spinning speed of 1200 – 1500 r.p.m., hybrid timer AKO (Code No.617040) and electronic control (Code No.617041 resp. one-way control 617042) have installed servicing diagnostics. In the event of certain fault (faults are stated in enclosure, chart 1) the machine can respond in different ways – most frequently the electronic control turns timer to position 58, being the position of fault. In this way the customer sees that something is wrong and calls for the repair. Since these machines do not have the fault display (on the basis of which the customer could state the kind of fault), there is a test program that enables the definition of the
fault.
You need the test connector (it can be ordered under Code No.505961) with LED-diode which is to be set to electronics (see circuit diagram – contacts T4.1-T4.4). It is essential that the machine is empty, program set to position A and/or 1 (pre-wash cottons – see time diagram) and machine turned ON. Washing machine will perform the test program, lasting approximately 7 minutes. During the test program diode flashes at frequency rate of 1 Hz (1x per second). If fault does not turn up during test program, the diode will be flashing in the end at frequency rate of 0,5 Hz (2x per second). However, if the fault turns up, the machine will respond in the manner described in enclosure, Chart 2, diode flashes in compliance with the fault number with intermediary intervals. The kind of fault can be defined by counting up the number of flashes.
